The Piggott Public Library is currently offering gift wrapping services for the holiday season. The “elves” at the library will be wrapping gifts through noon Friday, Dec. 22. Event organizers noted most gifts will be wrapped, and ready for pickup, within 24 hours. And, there is no charge—as the elves are working for donations. Those wanting additional information, and dropoff times, may call the library at 870 598-3666.
The following are activities taking place at the Piggott Public Library during the month of December. Now through Dec.
Black River Technical College (BRTC) will host a 50th anniversary celebration on Thursday, Dec. 14 with the public invited to attend.
Piggott First Baptist Church will be hosting a community wide candlelight service at 6 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 23. Everyone in the community and surrounding area is invited to come and enjoy the service and fellowship.
Black River Technical College Board of Trustees will hold its quarterly committee meeting at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14 in the Pocahontas Room of the Richard Gaines Business and Technology Building on the BRTC Pocahontas campus.
Black River Technical College’s Licensed Practical Nursing Program (LPN) has been ranked third in the state by praticalnursing.org. The website praised BRTC’s program: “Black River Technical College offers an outstanding practical nursing program at its campus in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
