Rector FFA annual auction and dinner set March 25
The Rector FFA is offering a pulled pork dinner to the public to kick-off the annual fundraising event to be held Saturday, March 25, at the Rector Community Center. The dinner portion of the event begins at 5:30 p.m. with student leadership greeting the public at the door.
Mauldin earns ACT WorkKeys certification
Piggott High School junior Aaron Mauldin was among the Black River Technical College (BRTC) Career and Technical Center (CTC) students who recently earned ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificates (NCRC). Mauldin earned the certificate at the gold level.
Piggott plans city wide yard sale
Local residences to begin to make their plans for the annual Piggott City Wide Yard Sale. This year’s sale will be held Saturday, April 1, and sales held that day will not be required to purchase a permit from the city. Locations will also be featured on a list, which will be available from the Chamber of Commerce. Those wanting to be added to the list or for additional information may call the chamber office in the depot building at 870-598-3167 or email at chamberpg@yahoo.com.

Students were treated to pizza at Big Time Pizza and dessert at The Caffeinated Cow. Consignments are now being accepted for the 48th Annual and Absolute Piggott FFA Auction being held on Saturday, April 1 at the Clay County Fairgrounds in Piggott. This year’s sale will be held Saturday, April 1, and sales held that day will not be required to purchase a permit from the city. The City of Piggott has also waived the fee for Friday, March 31.
