QC meets with light agenda

The Clay County Quorum Court met with a light agenda for their monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the Western District Courthouse in Corning at 7 p.m. Justices David Cagle and Neal “Poppy” Smith were not in attendance. When the audience knows all the songs and spontaneously sings along and claps in rhythm, it’s a great experience. That’s the comfort level Vicki Bishop created within the “intimate venue” at the Ford Room at the Rector Community Museum for Thursday’s Valentine concert. “I love this place. I like to see who I’m singing to – I like to keep an eye on you!” That’s the way the night began as she bantered with the “Good Guys,” her band, and with the friends-likefamily audience.
