Ozark Holidays Craft Show set Saturday in Mountain View

It’s challenging in today’s world to find unique, high quality, handcrafted items for gifts or for your own household. On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, you can find them at the Ozark Folk Center State Park Craft Village during the Ozark Holidays Craft Show, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023. Admission is free and artisans will be set up in their workshops.

PSD receives funds for calming room

Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield provided $2,500 in funding to 75 Arkansas schools to create calming rooms to help with the mental well-being of students. Piggott was one of the chosen schools to receive the funds. The calming rooms will be a space to help students dealing with anxiety and depression. The room will have tranquil colors, soft lighting and comfortable furniture. Sensory objects such as journals and adult coloring books will be provided as well as positive and inspirational messages.
