Entries needed for annual Christmas Parade

The annual Rector Christmas Parade sponsored by the Rector Chamber of Commerce will be held Dec. 3 at 1:30 p.m., with the parade traveling down Main Street, ushering in the Christmas season. Prizes for floats will be increased this year to encourage more float participation. Prize money will be first place $150, second place $100, third place $75, fourth place $50 and fifth place $25, recognizing fun, faith, and the festive season. No prize money will be awarded to go-carts and side-by-sides, but they are appreciated and encouraged to participate. The Chamber reminds all participants that age 18 is the minimum age with a driver’s license and a permit from the City of Rector for operating the side-byside or golf cart.

Three Rivers opens registration for winter session and spring semester

Registration is now open to everyone for winter and spring classes at Three Rivers College. Students can register online, by phone, or by emailing an advisor. Register early to get your preferred classes and make sure your schedule works for you. The last day to register for the winter session is December 15, and the last day to register for the Spring semester is January 12. The winter session begins December 18, and the Spring semester begins January 16. Daylight Savings Time to end

Daylight Savings Time is scheduled to end this weekend, as the country is set to “ fall back” for 2023. Everyone is reminded to set their clocks back one hour Saturday night, as Central Standard Time will resume at 2 a. m. on Sunday, Nov. 5.
