Williams Baptist University’s Theatre program is set to kick off the 2023-24 season with a performance of “The Romancers” by Edmond Rostand. The play is scheduled for Oct. 26-27 at the Randolph County Development Center on the campus of Black River Technical College.
Arkansas State University Museum will host its Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, celebration on Thursday, Nov. 2, from 5 until 7 p.m. The museum is adjacent to Dean B. Ellis Library, located at 320 University Loop.

Emmanuel Baptist Church of Piggott will host their Fall Family Fun Day beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29. A free fish fry will start at 5 p.m. and will be served until gone. “We encourage the community to come together and enjoy an afternoon of fun and food for the whole family,” commented Bro. For those who have admired pottery and thought about making their own, the Department of Art + Design at Arkansas State University will offer a class this fall for the public. Dr.
Piggott First United Pentecostal Church will host a trunk or treat from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31. The church is located at 826 E. Main Street. Members of the church will be offering free hot dogs and bottled water and encourage everyone to drop by.
The Kinsmen Quartet will be in concert at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov.
Piggott Farmers Market will host a Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at the First National Bank Pavilion. The festival will feature food, crafts, and giveaways. Live music will be provided from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. by Electric Voodoo Explosion. The market will be open as usual from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27.
