“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” In classrooms across the country, millions of students partake in saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Unfortunately, many have merely memorized the words without understanding the significance it has to their country and freedom.
