The Piggott Heritage Car Show lip-sync event will feature a Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute with special guest Van Halen. The event will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 19, at the Piggott Community Center. Admission is $5 with proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The next meeting of the Black River Technical College Board of Trustees is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., Thursday, May 4. The meeting will be held on the Pocahontas campus in the Richard Gaines Business/ Technology Building conference room.

The University of Central Arkansas at Conway will hold spring commencement Friday, May 5, and Saturday, May 6, 2023, in the Farris Center on campus. The times for the ceremonies are as follows: Graduate ceremony, 7 p.m. Friday, May 5. Undergraduate ceremonies, 4 p.m. Friday, May 5 and 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 6.
Liberty Hill Cemetery will host its annual decoration day on Saturday, May 6. A business meeting will start at 11 a.m. with a potluck dinner following at noon. Black River Technical College will hold its Registered Nursing pinning and graduation ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, in the Randolph County Development Center on the Pocahontas Campus.
Piggott FFA will hold their annual plant sale on Wednesday May 10 and Thursday, May 11 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Piggott High School Greenhouse. Just in time for Mother’s Day however, there is a limited quantity of hanging baskets and tomato plants.
