Powhatan Historic State Park to host cemetery cleaning workshop

Historic State Park will host a cemetery cleaning workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday March 25. Join park staff to learn what you can do, and what you shouldn’t do, to care for stone and concrete monuments. Participants are encouraged to wear outdoor work clothes, and bring their own drinking water, chair, and note-taking materials. This event is free to the public. Piggott Girl Scout Troop #3011 plans 5K fundraiser March 11

Piggott Girl Scout Troop #3011 will be hosting a 5K race fundraiser at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 11. Participants may enter online or pick up an entry form at McKenney Pharmacy or the Piggott Public Library. Entry fee is $35 and includes a finisher medal and a t-shirt (while supplies last). Watercolor workshop planned at HPMEC

The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Education Center will host a watercolor workshop from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 18. Newcomer to town, Milo Stephens, will be the instructor of the workshop, which will be held in the education center. There is a $40 fee which will include tour and class instruction.
