The Arkansas Historical Association has named Dr. Blake Perkins as the 2022 recipient of the Northeast Arkansas Regional Archives Award for exemplary archival research at its annual conference and awards banquet in Little Rock on April 22.

High School Principal Henderson spoke to the full two-point overall improvement on the ACT Aspire testing, with seventeen students scoring 21 or above composite.

Early voting got underway Monday for the 2022 May Preferential Primary. The Clay County Clerk’s office reports at the end of Monday some 142 citizens had voted early. Piggott had 97 early voters with Corning having 45 early voters.

Sam Shipley, a junior at RHS, recently returned from his second trip to Washington D.C. after being selected as one of six Arkansas 4H members to attend the National 4H summit. Shipley was chosen to be a healthy living ambassador for 2022. He attended several workshops and commented that the experience was very educational.
