End of an era…Smith retires from CCECC after 56 years of service

For more than half a century, David Smith has been a constant force in the evolution of Clay County Electric Cooperative. Through technological advancements, industry shifts and natural disasters, he has remained a reliable leader, guaranteeing reliable electricity for the rural communities of northeast Arkansas. Now, after 56 years of service—including 18 as General Manager—Smith is retiring, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, devotion and progress.
