The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational has announced is an ideal location for photography but to minimize disruptions of visitors’ experience photography sessions are limited to after hours. Museum winter hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Museum director Shannon Williams commented, “We kindly request that you do not relocate benches or porch furniture during photography sessions. Attaching banners or props to the house or barn studio is prohibited, and color bombs, glitter or confetti are not allowed on the premises.” For inquiries, contact the museum at 870598-3487.

Local shoppers are encouraged to take part in The Christmas Shoppe which is planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Piggott Community Center. The center is located at 161 E. Pfeiffer Street.

The University of Central Arkansas will hold Fall Commencement on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13 and 14.

The traditional Holiday Tour of Homes, sponsored by the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8.

Piggott Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the sixth annual 12 days of Christmas slated to begin Saturday, Dec. 7 with the Christmas Fest and the Christmas Parade. The fest will start at 11 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m. with the parade starting at 4:30 p.m.

The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center will be hosting the photographic exhibit entitled The Veneto of Ernest Hemingway: Across the River into the Trees series seven. The exhibit is com-prised of a series of beautiful black and white panels. The exhibit will be on display through December on the second floor of the museum.
