Rector marks football homecoming

After a week filled with fun and frivolity, spirit stick competitions, banner design and creation, skit practices and the parade, the Rector Homecoming Court presentation and the crowning of the Homecoming Queen took place at the Rector gym. Attended by seventh through 12th grade classes, parents, grandparents, friends, and community leaders, the beautiful ladies and handsome gentlemen were presented to the crowd.

Extension county agent summer internship program now accepting applications

LITTLE ROCK — For college students interested in a hands-on career helping their fellow Arkansans, the Cooperative Extension Service offers a paid, 10-week county agent summer internship program. Past interns who have since been hired with the organization credit the program with opening their eyes to the direct impact agents have in their communities.

Rector School District PTO begins programming

Prior to the fundraising night of Bingo that was organized by the new organization Rector School District PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization), an interested group of parents led by April Lindsey and Jessica Graham met in September and discussed how exactly they might begin. The District’s Community Engagement liaison, Jessica Graham, floated the idea of a PTO at a regular meeting with parents and teachers.
