Clay County Fair Association is in search of anyone interested in preforming the National Anthem live at their outdoor events for 2025. Auditions will be held in the Clay County Fair kitchen from 12 to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 19.

In regular session on Thursday, March 13, the Rector City Council met at the Rector Community Center. The Council continued discussion relative to a Rector water rate increase.
The Clay County Quorum Court met in regular session on Monday, March 17 at the courthouse in Piggott with Justices Dennis Haines, Patrick Patterson, David Hatcher, Jody Henderson and David Cagle present. Justices George Lowe, Randy Kingston and Brad Green were absent.
Rector School Board addresses personnel issues

Failure to register wells before March 31, 2025, will result in a late fee as well as the registration fee.
The Rector Cougar 4-H Club brought home impressive accolades from the Crowley’s Ridge Classic Cattle Show held March 7 and 8 at the Greene County Fairgrounds, showcasing the talent and hard work of its young members. This year, the event was a big success for the club with members earning top honors in various categories.
