Esperita Huckabay Robbins, 83 of Paragould, passed from the cares of this life on Friday, July 22, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 9, 1938 in Marmaduke to the late Marvin Matthew and Eunice Estelle French Huckabay. Esperita was a member of the Westview Baptist Church in Paragould and in her spare time loved gardening, anything to do with nature and being outdoors. She had a love for others; helping anyone in need and never met a stranger. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Cody Dale Carter, 41, of Rector, passed unexpectedly from this world on July 16, 2022, doing what he loved best, spending time with family and friends. When Cody was seen he always had a smile on his face and he always had a joke to make any situation better. He had many titles, amazing husband and father, son, brother, friend to many, hunter, fisherman, fan of the Razorback (was very enthusiastic about yelling at them when they were playing on TV) and a police officer who was always willing to go above and beyond helping out in every situation. Cody was an exceptional man that loved with his whole heart and let all connected with him know that special part of him and know they were loved.
Porter Stevens, 78, of Piggott, Ark., passed away July 23, 2022, at his residence in Piggott. He was born on November 19, 1943, in Kennett, Mo., and was the son of Verni and Eula (Allmond) Stevens.
Vernon Lee Johnson, 63, of Piggott, Ark., passed peacefully from this life into the next, on July, 23, 2022. Vernon was born on July 6, 1959 to his Pop Richard “Red” & his mom Delores Lydia Rodery Johnson.
Lura May Temerian, 90 of Rector, passed away on July 4, 2022 at the Piggott Community Hospital. She was born in Rector, Ark., to the late Morgan and Mary Vernelia (Wright) King. She was a very active woman who stayed busy even in her senior years. She taught school for over 30 years and was loved by many of her students. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rector, and also a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa organization. She owned and operated the Corner Bookstore and the 4th Street Treasures. She loved her family and all of the team members that her husband coached in football during the years.

Viola Ruth Threlkeld, a descendant of Sir Lancelot de Threlkeld, Lake District, Cumbria, England, member of the Privy Council of Elizabeth I, Queen of England, was born on March 29, 1923, to Evret Reed Threlkeld, (son of Elnora Stalions and Ulie Threlkeld) and Ora Belle Smith, (daughter of Winnie Hill and Mack Smith), in Brown, Ark., a community near Manila.
