Arkansas Department of Agriculture announces launch of Arkansas Animal at Large online reporting form

The Arkansas Department of Agriculture is pleased to announce the launch of the Arkansas Animal at Large online reporting form. This new reporting form was developed to implement Act 594 which was enacted during the 2023 Regular Session of the Arkansas General Assembly and will provide a state-wide method of notification of lost livestock.

Golf tournament set

The sixth annual Mohawk Football Golf Tournament is set for Thursday, July 27, at the Sugar Creek Country Club and is being hosted by the Piggott Mohawk Football Boosters. Tee off is set for 9 a.m. with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. The event is a 18 hole four-person scramble and is limited to 18 teams. Lunch will be provided.

As summer is in full swing, the recruiting season for Crowley’s Ridge College’s head baseball coach Brenden Camp and assistant coach Tray Malone has officially come into full effect. The coaching pair inked their first two players of the summer with the signing of Brent Gossett and Anthony Holladay.

Piggott baseball field hosts benefit tournament

On Saturday, June 10, the Piggott ballfield was full of excitement as it hosted a benefit softball tournament for Paragould student Lucian Gramling, a non-verbal, nine-year old with autism spectrum disorder. The tournament was a huge success with 24 teams participating. According to Billie Joe Seal, who helped coordinate the event, this is one of the largest turnouts he has helped with.
