D & G BASEBALL TEAM

LOCAL TEAMS SCRIMMAGE

Senior High Rector Cougars traveled to Corning on Monday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 12 to play a 7 on 7 exercise at the Bobcat Stadium. PHS FCCLA to present wrestling event

Wrestling is coming to Piggott! The PHS FCCLA have teamed up with Spoke N Word Christian Motorcycle Association to present the championship wrestling event as a fundraiser to help send four of their members to the 2022 National STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) events competition in San Diego, Calif. Among the four attending are Emma Riddle and Haley Hanners – Chapter in Review; Chloe Sexton – Sustainability and Tamia Davis – Early Childhood.

Piggott High School sports banquet held

The Piggott Sports banquet was held Thursday, May 19. Male and female athletes from basketball, softball, and baseball were honored. A new award was given this year in honor of Coach Matt Sutfin. The athletes chosen embody passion and drive for the game of basketball, much like Coach Sutfin. The male and female athlete that received this prestigious award were Shawn-Hudson Seegraves and Emma Langley.

LEMMONS SIGNS WITH CRC

Piggott High School was the setting for a signing ceremony Thursday, May 12, for senior Nate Lemmons. The son of Emily Lemmons, Nate signed his letter of intent to attend Crowley’s Ridge College and continue his baseball career.
