Charges were filed against Rhonda Parks, 42, and Joyce Parks, 69, both of Piggott, after an investigation into the incident involving two juvenile runaways. In sports the Rector High School Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held with a luncheon and plaque presentation honoring the 2023 inductees. Several highly visible projects were undertaken by the Chamber this year

Several highly visible projects were undertaken by the Chamber this year, one of the most recognizable was the Rector signage to welcome residents and visitors to town. The signage that promotes Rector as “forever home,” made its debut on Labor Day weekend. Williams reported that the back of each sign and the potential for two additional signs are in the plans.
