“Blame it all on (the late) Reuben Seay,” quipped Nita Bowden who told of Hutie Bowden’s first interest in fighting fire with the Rector Fire Department. She smiled as Hutie completed the story of how he and John Seay, Carolyn and Reuben’s son, grew up together, spending time at the Seay house.
Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center will host a sugar cookie baking and decorating class at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19. Instructors will be Pat Self and Shelby Blascoe. Class fee is $10 per person and space is limited. To register contact the museum at 870-598-3487
