Charles Clifford Williams

Charles Clifford Williams, 86, of Horn Beak, Tenn., passed away at his home on May 1, 2023. He was born on February 15, 1937 in Wilson, Ark., to Lynn Elmer Williams and Ida Clifford Clayton Williams. Charles was an active member of the Ridgely Senior Center. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, sightseeing, and bird watching. He was also a supporter of the St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

Survivors include; loving wife: Candy Williams of Rockford, Ill.; three sons: Charles A. Williams of Missouri, Marty C. Williams of Rockford, Ill., and Michael J. Williams of Tuscumbia, Ala.; two daughters: Deana Borders of Mansfield, Mo., and Lori Jordan of Hartville, Mo.; two step daughters: Jennifer R. Kneubuehl of Davis, Ill., and Robin Olson of Rockford, Ill.; one sister: Juanita Franks of Rockford, Ill.; many grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by; his parents: Lynn Elmer Williams and Ida Clifford Williams; his grandparents: Ernest Williams, Maggie Williams, Veinesa and Andrew Clayton; four brothers: Lynn Williams, Ernest Williams, Lewis Williams, and Haskel Williams; and three sisters: Mary Barnett, Peggy Rinks, and Shirley Burton.

A memorial service for Charles Clifford Williams will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at the Frist General Baptist Church in Rector. The church is located on Hwy. 49.
