Danny Cecil Simpson

Danny Cecil Simpson, left this world on May 12, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 70. Born on June 5, 1954, in Paragould, Arkansas, Danny was a man whose life was as rich as the land he devoted himself to.
Preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Bradford and Elleta Connie Rhynes Simpson, and his sister Teressa Nelson, Danny’s legacy is carried on by his loving wife, Terry Thomas Simpson, their daughters, Bethany (Dustin) Burns of Rector and Sarah Simpson of Rector, and his cherished grandchildren, Kaelyn, Jaxon, Devin, and Aidan Burns. He also leaves behind his sister, Melissa (Allen) Newell of Marmaduke. Danny’s memory will also be treasured by a host of special nieces, nephews, other relatives, and numerous friends who were touched by his generous spirit.
Outside of his work, Danny’s interests were simple. He loved basketball, whether cheering on his grandchildren locally, following the Razorbacks, or watching the NBA from his recliner. Danny also found joy in Sunday afternoon drives to look for deer, a hobby that reflected his deep appreciation for nature and the quiet moments of life.
Danny was a man of Missionary Baptist faith, and his beliefs were evident in the way he lived. His actions spoke of his faith, his kindness, and his willingness to help others. He was a pillar in his community, always ready with a smile and a helping hand.
Those who knew Danny would describe him as loving, friendly, and generous. He was the kind of person who would help with any need, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Danny’s life was one of purpose and impact, and the values he upheld will continue to inspire those he left behind.
