David Harrell

David Harrell, 68, of Piggott, Ark., passed away August 4, 2023, at his home surrounded by family in Piggott.

He was born on January 1, 1955, in Kennett, Mo., and was the son of the late Paul and Jean (Turner) Harrell.

David was united in marriage to Debbie (Pollard) Harrell on May 18, 1974.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Jean Harrell; two brothers: Delaine Harrell and Dickie Harrell; sister, Debby McNeely.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and was one of the best cattle ranchers around.

David is survived by his wife of 49 years, Debbie Harrell; son, Michael (Amber) Harrell of Piggott; daughter, Melissa (Sam) Williams of Paragould, Ark.; six grandchildren: Karsen (Cade ) Williams, Cade (Lexi) Harrell, Kaitlin Williams, Micha Harrell, Kiley Williams, and Colt Harrell; four great-grandchildren: Vivian Harrell, Cade Patton, Brooks Patton, and Lance Dallas Harrell; brother, Doyce (Cheryl) Harrell; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 12 p.m., Monday, August 7, 2023, at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott with Bro. Kevin Murray officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard. Pallbearers were Wade Harris, Wade Smart, David Scott, Todd Latta, Luke Hollis, Chance Shaw, and Steve McChristian. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Magee, Buddy Dills, Gary Dunlap, Danny Brown, and Barry Johnson. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday in Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott.
