Debra Redford

Debra Redford, 68, of Piggott, Ark., passed away November 28, 2022, at her home in Piggott.

She was born on February 27, 1954, in Piggott, and was the daughter of the late Ed and June (Haywood) Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and June Thompson and brother, Martie Thompson.

Debra retired from St. Josephs Health Center in 2005, after over 30 years of service. She was a loving mother and fun Nana Redford. She always had a smile on her face and was an amazing women. If you knew Debra, you knew she loved to poke fun anytime she had the opportunity. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, whether it was playing cards, Dominos, going to Bingo or just visiting. She drove the school bus for the Piggott School District for many years. She always wanted to be a school teacher but did not realize that dream so the school bus was the closest she came and she enjoyed it very much. She enjoyed and loved her dogs, Lola and Dexter. She also enjoyed mowing yards, just like her dad.

Debra is survived by her daughter, Melissa Shannon of Fort Collins, Colo.; son, Matthew Redford of Piggott; three grandchildren, Kayla Shannon, Jessie Shannon, and Tyson Redford; sister, Tammy Lyman and husband David of Piggott; brothers, Anthony Thompson of Piggott and Kyle Ray Thompson and wife Kelly of Moscow Mills, Mo.; and many other relatives and friends.

The family held a memorial service, at 12 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at the VFW in Piggott. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the cremation arrangements.
