Representatives from Delta Companies,Inc.visited the Rector High School campus onThursday, March 9 to speak with students about what their company does and to provide information about careers within their company. In addition, HR Generalist, Jennifer Carter shared qualities they look for in potential employees which included strong work ethic, dependability, positive attitude, self-motivation, good communication, flexibility, and team oriented. In terms of job interviewing, Syd Binkley, Construction Superintendent offered, “Communication and eye contact are very important. Look at the interviewer when you are speaking to them.”“And don’t forget, dress attire for the interview is also important. Dress for success.” added Brian Kelso, Construction Manager.“This session was one of several we have held to highlight careers within the “trade” industry.
