Donald Treston Roeder, 91, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away September 4, 2024, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott.

He was born on June 2, 1933, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to the late Karl James and Jessie (McKenzie) Roeder.

Don had a B.S. from University of Missouri, where he ran cross country, track and was a member of Beta Theta Pi where he made many lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Janet Roeder; mother, Jessie Pinkley, father, Karl Roeder; stepfather, Leonard Fahrety Pinkley; and stepsister, DeeDee McGhee.

Donald is survived by his two daughters, Julie Treston Mobley, Claire Dirks (Brad) Rouse; four grandchildren, Jenna Claire (Nathan) Mills, William Garrett (Lillie) Mobley, McKenzie Augusta (Aaron) Rouse, and Sheila (Billy) Stone; seven greatgrandchildren, Ansley Claire Rouse, Maggie Treston Mills, Sophia Marion Cluck,Sydney Addison Cluck, Jazzmyne Mills Phipps, Dillon Troy Mills, and Kylee Ross Mills; brothers, Alan (Jane) Roeder, Mike (Sharon) Roeder; sister, Linda Roeder Rountree; stepbrother, Lennie (Jean) Pinkley; stepsister, Susanne (Mike Phillips) Pinkley; and many other relatives and friends.

The family held a visitation Friday, September 6, 2024, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas. A private family burial will be at Piggott Cemetery. No other services are planned.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to the Piggott Public Library.
