Donzie Mae Taylor, 92, of Parker, Colorado, went to be with the Lord on Monday July 28, 2025 at the Morningstar Senior Center. Donzie was born July 9, 1933 in Rector, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Fred and Vera Martin. Donzie met her loving husband of 63 years, the late Julius Ray Taylor, when they were sweethearts in high school. She is also, proceeded in death by her brothers Charles Martin and Adon Martin; and her grandson Corey Michael Taylor.

She is survived by her sons Charles Robert Taylor of Newalla, Oklahoma and his wife Kathy, Michael Ray Taylor of Bedford, Pennsylvania and his wife Valerie, Thomas Kyle Taylor of Elizabeth, Colorado and his wife Laurie, her daughter Julia Jean Short of Kiowa, Colorado and her husband John; her eight grandchildren and fifteen greatgrandchildren.

Donzie was a graduate of Rector High School, Class of 1951. She was a wonderful homemaker and full time mom. She and her husband Julius lived in many places making life-long friends wherever they lived: Piggott, Arkansas; Fort Polk, Louisiana; Zion, Illinois; Little Rock, Arkansas; Conifer, Colorado; New Orleans, Louisiana; Orlando, Florida and Parker, Colorado. She enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, continually lavishing her love and time upon them. She and Julius loved to travel visiting many places close and far away. She loved antiques and was an avid collector of many things, particularly antique dolls. A favorite hobby was researching family genealogy. She dedicated a lot of her time to the Parker Senior Center where she coordinated the library. She was a member of the New Beginning Community Church of Parker, a church she and her husband Julius helped establish in 2010. Throughout the year she would gather items for the church’s Samaritan Purse Christmas boxes.
