Dr. Stephen Edwin Duncan

Dr. Stephen Edwin Duncan, 70, of Elizabeth, Ark., formerly of Rector, Ark., passed away February 19, 2024, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark.
He was born on August 4, 1953, in Wynne, Ark., and was the son of the late Nimmie Lee and Ellen Laverne (Palmer) Duncan.
Stephen was united in marriage to Janette Mobley on September 1, 1973, and to this union two children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry, Tommy, James Berry, and Brian Duncan.
Stephen graduated from Palmer Chiropractic School in Davenport, Iowa in 1976. In 1977, he opened Duncan Chiropractic in Rector, where he served the community for 44 years. During this time he was a member of the Arkansas Chiropractic Association serving as former President. He enjoyed playing golf and always enjoyed playing in the Arkansas vs. Missouri Chiropractor tournament each year. During retirement, he enjoyed spending time at the lake with his family.
Stephen is survived by his wife Janette Duncan of Elizabeth, Ark.; son, Nick Duncan and wife Casey of Elizabeth, Ark.; daughter, Candice Robinson of Rector; granddaughter, Gracyn Emily Robinson and grandson, Cutter Boyd Robinson both of Rector; brothers, Gerald Duncan and wife Brenda of Wynne, Ark., and Gary Duncan and wife Patrice of Conway, Ark.; sister, Delores Hale of Wynne, Ark.; sistersin- law, Betty Haley and Carla French and husband Hal both of Piggott; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024, in Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott. Memorial services followed at 4 p.m. with Jeff Neeley officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later time. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
