Dressing up as Coach Hendrix for a homecoming dress-up day is the favorite school memory of Drew Henderson. He is the son of Nathan and Heidi Henderson. Drew’s future plans include attending the University of Arkansas and majoring in Bio Pre-Med. After graduating, he will strive to get into medical school and become a general physician. While doing all of this, he intends on continuing his career with the Army National Guard. Drew played baseball, football and basketball. He was in math club, science club, FBLA, FCS, student council, pep club, ACE Leadership and GT. He volunteered with the Rector peewee programs, Rector Public Library, Rector Food Pantry, Rector Nursing Home, RHS phlebotomy, Rector First Baptist church and Neighbor2Neighbor. Drew is a member of the National Honor Society. His honors and awards include: Highest grade in: Algebra I and II, Geometry, physical science, AP World History, AP US History, English 10, biology, AP language and composition, pre-calculus and chemistry. He has had all A’s his entire career. He was All Conference in baseball, football and basketball his freshman year, his senior year in baseball and football and his junior year in baseball and football. He was All-State in baseball his junior year, his junior and senior year in football, voted NEA Best Under the Sun in baseball his junior year and football his senior year. He was Hooten’s 8-Man Player of the Year, ASN Blue Collar Player of the Year and AAA Championship Game MVP in football. He received a gold level career readiness certificate. Drew would like to be remembered as a nice guy that everybody liked.
