Euvila Winberry

Euvila Winberry, 93, of Piggott, Ark., passed away August 4, 2023, at her home surrounded by family in Piggott.

She was born on May 3, 1930, in Piggott, and was the daughter of Robert Jefferson and Sarah (Adami) Seal.

Euvila was united in marriage to Davey Winberry on June 12, 1949.

She was a dedicated preacher’s wife for sixtyseven years, she loved her family, making chicken and dumplings, and her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sarah Seal; husband, Davey Theodore Winberry; son, Jerry Winberry.

Euvila is survived by her four sons: Ted (Jeanie) Winberry Jr. of Piggott, Dan Winberry of Piggott, Steve (Karen) Winberry of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and John (Kelly) Winberry of Blytheville, Ark.; three daughters: Deanne (Nick) Yount of Pollard, Suzy (Kirby) Johnson of Piggott, and Tammy Winberry of Piggott; twentytwo grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lisa Winberry; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard with Bro. Matthew Collier officiating. Burial was in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis. Pallbearers were Chris Winberry, Aaron Winberry, Jeremy Winberry, Luke Yount, Kyle Johnson, Josh Hicks, and Payton Winberry . Honorary pallbearers were Nick Yount and Kirby Johnson. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott.
