The building formerly known as Black River Training Center,owned by the City of Rector,was auctioned,contents and building by Mavis Smith Auction Company on Friday, April 5 at 1 p.m. on Main Street in Rector. After a smattering of contents such as specialty office chairs, shop mats, pictures, and greenery were auctioned, three serious, qualified bidders gathered. Ken and Rita Lawrence placed the winning bid on behalf of son Ryan Lawrence.The 7000 sq. ft. building sold for $45,000 with a 10% buyer’s fee.
