Gary Mann

Gary Mann, 70, of Piggott, Ark., passed away December 5, 2022, at his home in Piggott.

He was born on February 13, 1952, in Piggott, and was the son of the late Bill and Loraine (Lack) Mann .

Gary was a Vietnam Veteran, worked for the United States Postal Service for over thirty years, and he enjoyed playing golf. He played fullback and defensive back for the Mohawk’s in 1969 a conference title winning team and made All-District as a defensive back in the same year. He was a complex, thoughtful, and quiet man who often best expressed himself through his love of literature, popular culture, and music. Gary found comfort in the written word, especially the lyrics of Bob Dylan; we hope these lyrics from “Forever Young” provide you as much comfort as they did him: May your heart always be joyful, may your song always be sung, and may you stay forever young.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and
