Gloria “Joyce” (Templeton) Donehoo, 88, of La Porte, Tex., passed away February 19, 2023.

Joyce was born May 5, 1934, in Piggott, Ark., to Everett and Madeline (Johnstone) Templeton. In December 1952 she married Joe Donehoo and in January 1956 they welcomed a son, their only child, Ricky Gene Donehoo.

In 2009, Joyce relocated from Piggott, where she had always lived, to La Porte, Tex., to be near her son and grandchildren. She made many friends in her new hometown and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by husband, Joe Donehoo, son Ricky Donehoo, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by grandchildren Keegan Donehoo, Caleb Donehoo (Krista), daughter-in-law Donna Brady, great granddaughters, Kinley and Mackenzie Donehoo, sister Judy Hardin (Paul) and brother Walter Templeton.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25 at the Piggott Cemetery.
