Grover Hardin Hill
Grover Hardin Hill, 98, of Greenway, Arkansas, passed away July 9, 2025, at his home.
He was born on February 3, 1927, in Rector, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Roy and Hattie (Hardin) Hill.
Hardin served in the United States Navy in 1945. Shortly after returning from service, he was united in marriage to Genevieve Cox on July 10, 1946. Harden was a longtime, faithful member of Greenway Church of Christ. He enjoyed farming and working in his garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Genevieve Hill; sisters, Martine Hill, Dorothy Jean Wells, Elberta Forrest, and Mary Joyce Hill; brothers-in-law, Ed Wells and Howard Forrest.
Hardin is survived by his son, Michael Lynn (Sandy) Hill of Greenway, Arkansas; daughter, Brenna Arlene (Ronnie) Linam of Rector, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Tim Hill of Greenway, Arkansas, Jennifer (Leonard) Banning of Paragould, Arkansas, Bradley Dean (Lori) Linam of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Brian Wesley Linam of Rector, Arkansas, Jarred Neil (Hollie) Linam of Bella Vista, Arkansas; eight great-grandchildren, Kaylee Gladish, Zachary Gladish, Sara Ann (Joey) Brown, Whitney (Corbin) Kirkland, Holden John Linam, Braden Alexander Linam, Taylor Alise (Caleb) Marston, and Westin Dale Church; four great-great-grandchildren, Kyle, Jett, Olivia, and Tate; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bradley Linam officiating. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas. Pallbearers were Bradley Linam, Brian Linam, Jarred Linam, Holden Linam, Braden Linam and Leonard Banning. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott.
