As documented last week, the first car entered in the annual Piggott car show was the 1940 Ford convertible belonging to the late Murry Exum, and his wife Alice, of Jackson, Tenn. Pictured at the 2009 show, Alice and Murry (center) are pictured in front of their car during the local event. Following Murry’s death in 2018, the #1 was officially retired by show organizers in his memory and in recognition for his efforts to help build the Piggott event.(file photo)
