It was 59 years ago, on Jan. 1, 1966, that the Piggott High School Marching Mohawk Band took part in the Cotton Bowl Festival Parade in Dallas. In the annual Cotton Bowl Classic, the Arkansas Razorbacks fell to LSU 14-7. Among those on the roster for the Hogs was future Mohawk Head Football Coach Joe Black as recent PHS grad Tommy Dixon was redshirted.
