This week’s photo is shared in conjunction with the news of the impending close of the Alaska Queen in 1987, but was taken about 20 years prior to that following renovation and expansion of the dining room. Portions of the tile floor can still be seen around the Piggott Public Schools administration building, which now sits on the site along East Main Street near the intersection with Taylor Avenue.(file photo)
