The supermarket which was then known as Stewart-Hinkle Value Market was in the process of going out of business this week in 1993. The building on North Second Avenue, which now houses the Department of Human Services, had been operated under several names, including Piggly-Wiggly and the Rebel Market. And, for most of those years Charles Hinkle (left) was a part of the operations and ownership.
