The citizens of Piggott passed a tax levy in the late 1970s to benefit the local hospital, as civic leaders looked to build a new campus in the future. In response, the employees of the Piggott Hospital gathered for a group photo with a banner they erected offering thanks to the community for the support. Recently, city leaders announced they would again be seeking help from the community in keeping the local facility viable and a key component of the area.(file photo)
