In the late 1970s the name Bill Clinton didn’t carry as much clout as it does these days, and his appearance in the Piggott Fourth of July Picnic Parade as Attorney General didn’t seem to make much of an impact.Much larger crowds lined the route for this year’s picnic parade, although the former president has yet to make a return trip to Clay County for the celebration he attended so many times in the past.(file photo)
