The jail training course, which is required for new jailers, was held starting Monday, May 8 and concluded May 12.The class was held in a room at Piggott City Hall and was for 56 hours. Senator Blake Johnson, Representative Jeremy Wooldridge and Safety Director Mike Hager quickly got the training class scheduled,which was an obstacle in the way of opening the jail. “We would like to thank Piggott State Bank, First National Bank and Centennial Bank for providing finger foods and the meal each day to the trainees and instructors,” comment Sheriff Ronnie Cole.
