James Holland Threatt
James Holland Threatt, 83, of Pollard, Ark., passed away March 5, 2023, at his home.
He was born on June 20, 1939, in Garner, Tex., and was the son of the late James Arthur and Odessa Holloway Threatt.
James was united in marriage to Bernice Williamson on July 11, 1956, and to this union three children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bernice Threatt, daughter Barbara Threatt; and sister, Mary Magee.
James served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed playing cards, going to church, working in the hay fields, and having his family together. He especially loved his grandchildren.
James is survived by his children Brenda Johnson of Gadsden, Tenn., and Jim Threatt and wife Stephanie of Pollard, Ark.; grandchildren: Teresa Collett and husband James, Samantha Redding and husband Chris, Matthew Soares and wife Jessica, Jimmy Threatt and wife Jacqueline, Josh Threatt and wife Jackie, Jaessa Threatt, Jaden Threatt, and Wayne Johnson; great grandchildren: Michael Collett, Cheyenne Story and husband Jordan, Breanna Collett, Caley Soares, Jackson French, Rylan Redding, Nolan Redding, Jessica Gladney, and Aston Martin; great-great grandchildren: Addison Collett, Wyatt Collett, Clifton Collett, Eric Gladney, Charlie Story, and Harper Story; sister, Margaret Hosman of Pocahontas, Ark.; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott with graveside service following at 1:30 p.m. at the New Hope Cemetery in Pollard with Bro. Loran Johnson officiating. Pallbearers will be Tony Johnson, Dave Beutel, Dave Blackmon, Josh Crabtree, Chuck Sawyers, and Forrest Taylor. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of the arrangements.
