James Woodie Dale

James Woodie Dale, 96, of Piggott, Ark., passed away October 10, 2022, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott.
He was born on January 28, 1926, in Blue Cane, Ark., and was the son of the late Woody and Gladys McClusky Dale.
James was united in marriage to Wilma Jean Mayo on April 2, 1944. He was devoted to his wife and she was devoted to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Curtis Dale; one greatgrandchild; brothers, Earl Dale, Carl Dale, Eulis Dale, L.J. Dale, Eldo Howard Dale, Gerald Dale and Clifford Dale; sisters, Mary Dale Yates and Imogene Milligan.
James is survived by his wife of 78 years, Wilma Jean Dale; two daughters: Linda (Johnny) Latta of Paragould, Ark., and Patricia (Richard) Dahlgren of North Little Rock, Ark.; eight grandchildren: Dawn (Randy) McGinnis of Lafayette, Ind., Johnny Dale (Joy) Latta of Warren, Ark., James Woodie (Elizabeth) Dale of Biggers-Reyno, Ark., Cindy Dale of Nashville, Tenn., Andrea
Thompson of North Little Rock, Ark., Amy (Jeff) Holden of Sherwood, Ark., Katie Dahlgren of North Little Rock, Ark., Kristina (Nick) Palmisano of Texarkana, Texas; six greatgrandchildren; sister, Melva Jean Chilcutt; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Ark., with Jerrod Lowe officiating. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott.
