Jerry Wayne Little, 81, of McDougal/Pollard area, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at St. Bernard’s Hospital in Jonesboro.

Mr. Little was born September 28, 1942 in Campbell, Mo. He loved gardening, canning, fishing, beekeeping, working in the orchard, spending time with family, and he was an avid hunter and trapper. Mr. Little was a retired farmer and a member of the clay county drainage board. He was a member of True Light Missionary Baptist Church in McDougal.

He married the love of his life, Pauline Little, October 5, 1961. They recently celebrated 62 years of marriage; she survives.

Other survivors include daughters Natalie Hollowell of Corning and Valerie Wellman of Piggott; grandchildren Carl (Riki) Hollowell, Katie Marie (David) Hampton, and Jacob (Bethany) Wellman; nine great grandchildren, and sisters Linda Nossett of Corning and Betty Jane Craft of Qulin, Mo.

Preceding him in death were his parents, William Dillon and Jesse Lena (Hubble) Little; brothers Lonnie, Marshall, Jackie, William “Bill”, Jim, Owen, and Joe Little; sisters Mary Elizabeth Huskey, Birdie Mae Swindle, Imogene Burns, and Alice Matthew, and a great grandson Kade Hampton.

Visitation was held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2023, in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service followed at 2 p.m. with Bro. Jason Self officiating. Burial followed the services in Post Oak Cemetery.
