Juanita Williams

Juanita Williams, 95, of Piggott, Ark., passed away October 17, 2022, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
She was born on April 8, 1927, in Clay County, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Earl and Pearl (Parrish) Graddy.
Juanita was united in marriage to Marlon Winifred Williams on March 25, 1947, and to this union a son was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marlon; her siblings: Troy Graddy, Jerold Graddy, Jimmy Graddy, Hullon Graddy, Bobby Joe Graddy, Imogene Gray, Geneva Gray, and Earline Williams.
Juanita was a longtime member of South Thornton Church of Christ in Piggott. She worked as cook for Brown Shoe Company and Piggott Community Hospital. She also worked many years at Holcomb’s Pharmacy. Christmas was her favorite season and she loved listening to Christmas music and decorating for the holidays. Juanita was a wonderful cook and all who knew her have fond memories of her delicious meals and desserts. She loved deeply. She especially loved her family and her church family.
Juanita is survived by her beloved son, Sam (Onesca) Williams of Piggott; four grandchildren, Candy (Bruce) Taylor of Corning, Ark., Sam (Melissa) Williams Jr. of Paragould, Ark., Travis (Shannon) Williams of Piggott, and Bobbi (Amy)
Roberts of Conway, Ark.; great-grandchildren: Ashley (Kyle) Souder of Paragould, Karsen Williams of Memphis, Tenn., Molly Grace Williams of Piggott, Maggie Williams of Piggott, Kaitlin Williams of Paragould, Kiley Williams of Paragould, and Blaze Roberts of Conway; great-great grandchildren: Maddox, Hadleigh, Brooks, and Jo; brothers, J.E. (Una) Graddy of Piggott; Alion (Katherine) Graddy of Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022, at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, with Bro. Shawn Parker officiating and Bro. Jerry Morgan assisting. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott. Pallbearers were Travis Williams, Sam Williams, Terry Cox, Larry Simpson, and Shawn Parker. Honorary pallbearers were Clarence Huffman, Ken Roden, Mike Graddy, Steve Graddy, Linuel Graddy, and Bruce Taylor. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
