Katie Betty Sue Billings, 81, of Corning, Ark.,, passed away August 12, 2023, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott.

She was born on July 27, 1942, in Corning, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Lewis and Genevieve (White) Barker.

Katie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She worked many years as an accountant, retiring from Darling Store Fixtures in Piggott. She was a member of First Christian Church in Piggott and Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Billings; daughter, Lisa Montana; son-in-law, John W. Montana; and brother, Eugene Barker.

Katie is survived by her grandson, Michael Montana and wife Kendra of Corning; granddaughter, Samantha Yager and husband Matthew of Piggott; two great-granddaughters, Madison Montana and Paisley Yager; three brothers, Louie Barker and wife Linda, Rick Barker and wife Judy, and Steve Barker and wife Starlet; four sisters, Peggy Powers and husband John, Carolyn Taylor, Marilyn Johnston and husband Don, and Sheila Jones; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott with funeral service beginning at 5 p.m. with Bro. Alan Vaughn officiating. A private family burial will be held at New Hope Cemetery at a later date. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
