Kenneth Ray Dalton, age 92, of Carleton, Michigan, went home to be with his Lord, on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at The Gardens of Carleton. He had a strong Christian faith and loved his church and his family. He was employed at the New York Central Railroad and later as a machine repairman at the Ford Woodhaven Stamping Plant, retiring in 1997. He built a family home in New Boston. He also loved restoring old cars and traveling with his wife.
Kenneth leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children: Michael (Terri) of Carleton; Douglas (Pamela) of Belleville and Annette (Keith) Locklear of Tuttle, Oklahoma; his sister: Eva (Millard) Winningham of Melvindale; his grandchildren: Eric Dalton of Flat Rock; Carrie (Kevin) Furmanek of LaSalle, Ontario, Canada; Jennifer Dalton of Belleville; Nicole Dalton (David DeRousse) of Kalamazoo; Ryan (Jill) Locklear of Newcastle, Oklahoma; and Chris Locklear of Oklahoma City, Oklahome; his great-grandchildren: Evan and Avery Dalton; Courtney and Carter Furmanek; Emma, Levi, Anna and Cole Locklear; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 28 at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home at 9800 Telegraph Road in Taylor, Michigan. On Friday, August 29 visitation was held at 10 a.m. with the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Beacon Baptist Church. Interment followed at Michigan Memorial Park.
