Kevin “Pork Chop” Lee Nelson, 57, of Holcomb, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo.

Kevin, son of Joseph Garlin and Nancy Bullinger Nelson, was born on Wednesday, December 29, 1965, in Kennett, Mo.

He was a truck driver and of the Baptist Faith.

His survivors include his mother, Nancy Nelson of Holcomb; three brothers: Joe Nelson, Jr. and wife Kim, and Jerry Nelson all of Holcomb and Steve Nelson and wife Tina of Springdale, Ark.; two step-daughters: Dena Irwin of Cleveland, Ark., and Heather Davis and husband Brent of Piggott; several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Garlin Nelson; two step-daughters: Kristie Steinbach and Brandy Johnson.

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, at Landess Funeral

Home in Campbell, Mo. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Landess Funeral Chapel with Pam Nelson officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn-Landess Addition Cemetery in Campbell.

Pallbearers were nephews and son-in-law: Joseph Nelson, Jacob Nelson, Trystan Nelson, Michael Nelson, Mason Nelson and Brent Davis. Honorary pallbearer was Curtis Pollard.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell were in charge of the arrangements.
