Lon E. Bateman

Lon E. Bateman, a man whose greatest joy in life was connecting with and caring for others, passed away peacefully. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the people in his life. Lon’s devotion to family and friends made him a beloved figure, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Lon was a proud father, leaving behind two sons, Spencer Bateman and Austin Bateman, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his mother, Betty Bateman-Reid and her

husband, Larry Reid; his brother, Charlie Bateman and his wife, Meridith Bateman; his sister, Alonn Anstett; and his nephews, Cannon and Steele Bateman, who brought him immense pride and joy. Lon was preceded in death by his father, Boyce Bateman, brother, Andy Neece, and his sisters, Jackie Geesling and Renee Smart.

Lon’s love for people knew no bounds. Whether it was sharing a laugh, offering a listening ear, or providing support when needed, he had an extraordinary ability to make those around him feel valued and cared for. His compassion and warmth touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Though Lon has left us, his memory will live on through the love he gave, the relationships he nurtured, and the countless moments of joy he shared with his family and friends. We take comfort in knowing that his legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire us all.

A graveside service will be held in his memory at 1 p.m., Friday, April 11 at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, Arkansas.

Rest in peace, Lonnie. You will forever be in our hearts.
