Mary Evelyn Wagster, 95, of Saint Francis, Ark., passed away May 21, 2023, at her home in Saint Francis.

She was born on March 18, 1928, in St. Francis, and was the daughter of the late Rube and Hester (Bryant) Walker.

Mary was united in marriage to J.D. Wagster on October 16, 1959.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Wagster; father, Rube Walker; mother, Hester Walker; two sisters: Myrna Lee Walker and Dovie Culp; two brothers: Willy Walker and Charles Walker.

Mary is survived by her children: David Wagster, Trudy Wagster, and Sarah Beth Wagster all of St. Francis; three grandchildren: Justin Wagster of St. Francis, Chelsey Hayes (Josh Weidenbenner) of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Shana Wagster of St. Francis; greatgrandson, Bentley Hayes of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; her sister, Myra Lou Walker of St. Francis; and many other relatives and friends. held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis with Bob Fry, Jr. officiating. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis. Pallbearers will be Justin Wagster, Josh Weidenbenner, Phillip Wagster, Ronnie Cole, Phil Daffron, and Ricky Wyss. Honorary pallbearer will be Bentley Hayes. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Wednesday from 12 until 1 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott.
