Mary L. Stinebrook, nee Birmingham, 93, of Millstadt, Illinois, born Sunday, July 10, 1932, in Gibson, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Cedarhurst of Waterloo in Waterloo, Illinois.
Mary was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was so talented with her sewing, quilting, needlework, crocheting and knitting. She worked and retired from Eckert’s Orchard. Mary was a member of Villa Hills Baptist Church in Belleville, Illinois. Was a Sunday school teacher for many years and found great joy sharing her love of God and the Holy Bible with every child in her classes. She cared deeply for her church family.
She loves her children, grandchildren, sister and her entire family. While living at Cedarhurst she cherished her new Friendships and the Excellent Care she received from Special Friends and the entire Staff and Management.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Clinton C. Stinebrook; infant son, Mark Stinebrook; parents, John Riley and Flossie, nee King, Birmingham; brothers, Carl (Imogene) Birmingham, J.L. (Mary Ruth) Birmingham, Raymond (Betty Jean) Birmingham and brother-in-law, Leland Gibson.
Surviving are her son, Ralph E. (Marie George) Stinebrook of Saint Louis, Missouri; daughter, Cindy K. (James) Czech of Perryville, Missouri, sister, Frances Gibson of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren, Mary “Angie” (David) Mera, Nick (Renata) Stinebrook, Sierra (Mike) Zagarri, Clark R. (Smantha Sinclair) Stinebrook, Sam (Macee Trice) Stinebrook, John (McKinley Bell) Stinebrook, Jake Stinebrook; greatgrandchildren, Alejandro Zavala, Marco Zavala, Angelos “AJ” Zagarri, Charlie Zagarri, Dominick Stinebrook, Ella Rose Stinebrook, Lucas Stinebrook, Beckham Stinebrook; great-great-grandchild, Alejandro Zavala, Jr. and many loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at Kurrus Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
